Agirrezabala: "I'm very happy with my first minutes for Valencia CF"
The goalkeeper comments on his unofficial first appearance
Valencia CF goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala made his unofficial debut in the 0-0 draw against CD Leganés, and he spoke to VCF Media after the preseason friendly.
Debuting for Valencia CF
“I'm very happy to have been able to play my first minutes for the club. I've been here for a week and a half, and from the very beginning I've been eager to adapt to the team, to the coach's ideas, and I'm really happy with these first few minutes."
The game
"We all like to win every game, even if they're only preseason games. The important thing is our feeling and gradually gaining confidence, increasing our belief in the things the coach asks of us. Anything else doesn't depend on us. I think there's a good group here, and it's up to us to keep working, keep putting in the effort we've been doing so far in this preseason, and keep improving until we reach the first league game."
Valencia CF
“Valencia CF are an historic club, but all teams go through periods of good times and bad times. I think that's part of football. There are years when you're fighting for top positions, and other times it's for other things. The only thing that is down to us is focusing on this year; a very exciting year."
